الجامعة العالمية المركزية تمنح الدكتوراه الفخرية في الإعلام والذكاء الاصطناعي للصحفي يوسف الكرنز دولي | الأربعاء 11/03/2026 منحت الجامعة العالمية المركزية درجة الدكتوراه الفخرية في الإعلام والذكاء الاصطناعي للصحفي يوسف الكرنز، رئيس مجلس إدارة مؤسسة الشبكة الفلسطينية لتطوير الإعلام، تقديرًا لجهوده الوطنية والمهنية في تطوير قطاع الإعلام والصحافة في فلسطين، ودوره الريادي في تمكين الصحفيين الشباب وطلبة كليات الإعلام والصحافة. وجاء هذا التكريم تقديرًا لمسيرة الكرنز في تأسيس وإدارة مؤسسة الشبكة الفلسطينية لتطوير الإعلام، التي تُعد من أوائل المؤسسات غير الحكومية المسجلة والمرخصة في فلسطين والمتخصصة في تطوير الإعلام والصحافة، والعمل على تعزيز قدرات الصحفيين الشباب في مجالات الإعلام الرقمي الحديث وتوظيف تقنيات وأدوات الذكاء الاصطناعي في العمل الصحفي. ويمثل هذا التكريم اعترافًا دوليًا بجهود الكرنز في دعم الإعلام المهني المستقل، وتعزيز الابتكار في الإنتاج الإعلامي الرقمي، إضافة إلى جهوده في تدريب وتأهيل مئات الطلبة والخريجين من كليات الإعلام والصحافة في فلسطين. وتحمل مسيرة الكرنز المهنية بعدًا إنسانيًا ملهمًا؛ إذ تعرّض لإصابة خطيرة خلال تغطيته الصحفية لأول أيام مسيرات العودة الكبرى في قطاع غزة بتاريخ 30 مارس/آذار 2018، ما أدى إلى بتر ساقه اليسرى وإصابات بالغة في ساقه اليمنى. ورغم ذلك، واصل مسيرته الصحفية والإعلامية بإصرار، ليبقى حاضرًا في الميدان الإعلامي والمهني. وأكمل الكرنز مسيرته الأكاديمية، حيث حصل على درجة الماجستير الرقمي في التحقق الإعلامي الرقمي من وكالة فرانس برس، إضافة إلى درجة البكالوريوس في الإعلام الرقمي من جامعة القدس المفتوحة، كما نال دبلوم تكنولوجيا الإعلام من جامعة فلسطين التقنية – خضوري. وعلى مدار سنوات عمله، تعاون الكرنز مع عدد من المؤسسات الإعلامية المحلية والدولية، كما مثّل فلسطين في العديد من الشبكات والمؤسسات الإعلامية، وقدم الاستشارات الإعلامية لعدد من المؤسسات المحلية والعربية. كما شارك، إلى جانب مجموعة من زملائه الصحفيين الفلسطينيين، في تأسيس وكالة أخبار المنظمات الأهلية الفلسطينية، وهي أول منصة إعلامية تُعنى بتغطية أخبار وأنشطة المنظمات الأهلية الفلسطينية، وتسليط الضوء على مبادراتها وبرامجها الهادفة إلى دعم وتمكين الشباب الفلسطيني. ويُعد هذا التكريم محطة جديدة في مسيرة الكرنز المهنية، ورسالة تقدير لدوره في تعزيز الإعلام المهني وتوظيف التكنولوجيا والذكاء الاصطناعي لخدمة الصحافة الفلسطينية في ظل التحديات التي تواجه القطاع الإعلامي. The Global Central University Awards an Honorary Doctorate in Media and Artificial Intelligence to Journalist Yousef Al Krunz International | Wednesday, 11/03/2026 The Global Central University has awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Media and Artificial Intelligence to journalist Yousef Al Krunz, Chairman of the Board of the Palestinian Network for Media Development Organization, in recognition of his national and professional efforts to develop the media and journalism sector in Palestine and his pioneering role in empowering young journalists and students of media and journalism faculties. This honor comes in recognition of Al Krunz journey in founding and leading the Palestinian Network for Media Development Organization, which is considered one of the first registered and licensed non-governmental organizations in Palestine dedicated to developing the media and journalism sector, and to strengthening the capacities of young journalists in modern digital media and the use of artificial intelligence tools and technologies in journalistic work. This recognition represents an international acknowledgment of Al Krunz efforts to support independent professional media and promote innovation in digital media production, in addition to his role in training and qualifying hundreds of students and graduates from media and journalism faculties in Palestine. Al Krunz professional journey also carries an inspiring humanitarian dimension. He was seriously injured while covering the first day of the Great March of Return protests in the Gaza Strip on March 30, 2018, which resulted in the amputation of his left leg and severe injuries to his right leg. Despite this, he continued his journalistic and professional path with determination and remained active in the media field. He continued his academic journey and obtained a Master’s degree in Digital Media Verification in cooperation with Agence France-Presse (AFP), in addition to a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media from Al-Quds Open University, and a Diploma in Media Technology from Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie. Throughout his career, Al Krunz has worked with several local and international media institutions. He has also represented Palestine in numerous media networks and organizations and has served as a media consultant for several local and Arab institutions. He also participated, alongside a group of Palestinian journalist colleagues, in founding the Palestinian NGOs News Agency, the first media platform dedicated to covering the news and activities of Palestinian NGOs and highlighting their initiatives and programs aimed at supporting and empowering Palestinian youth. This recognition marks a new milestone in Al Krunz professional career and represents appreciation for his role in strengthening professional media and utilizing technology and artificial intelligence to serve Palestinian journalism amid the challenges facing the media sector.
