شاركت مؤسسة الشبكة الفلسطينية لتطوير الإعلام، ممثلةً برئيس مجلس إدارتها، الصحفي الدكتور يوسف الكرنز، في مؤتمر الشباب المحلي للتغير المناخي في فلسطين، بحضور معالي وزير سلطة جودة البيئة الفلسطينية، عطوفة المهندس زغلول سمحان.
وشهد المؤتمر حضور عدد من المسؤولين وممثلي الوزارات والمؤسسات الرسمية والأهلية والدولية، إلى جانب الجهات الداعمة، حيث جرى تسليط الضوء على قضايا البيئة والتغير المناخي في فلسطين، وأهمية دعم الشباب وتعزيز مشاركتهم، لا سيما من خلال المشاريع والمبادرات الشبابية الهادفة إلى حماية البيئة الفلسطينية ومواجهة التحديات المناخية.
وتأتي مشاركة مؤسسة الشبكة الفلسطينية لتطوير الإعلام في إطار حرصها على تعزيز التعاون والشراكات في مجال الإعلام البيئي والمناخي، والعمل على إطلاق وتنفيذ مشاريع ومبادرات إعلامية متخصصة تستهدف الشباب الفلسطيني، ولا سيما الصحفيين الشباب، بما يسهم في تطوير قدراتهم في مجال الصحافة البيئية والإعلام المناخي، وتعزيز دور الإعلام في نشر الوعي بالقضايا البيئية والمناخية في فلسطين.
وتؤكد المؤسسة أهمية توظيف أدوات الإعلام الرقمي وصناعة المحتوى الحديثة في دعم القضايا البيئية والمناخية، وتمكين الشباب من إنتاج محتوى إعلامي مهني وهادف، يسهم في رفع مستوى الوعي المجتمعي وتعزيز المشاركة في حماية البيئة ومواجهة آثار التغير المناخي.

The Palestinian Network for Media Development Organization (PNMD), represented by its Chairman, journalist Dr. Yousef Al Krunz, participated in the Local Youth Conference on Climate Change in Palestine, in the presence of H.E. the Minister of the Palestinian Environment Quality Authority, Eng. Zaghloul Samhan.
The conference was attended by a number of officials and representatives of governmental, civil society, and international institutions, as well as supporting organizations. The event highlighted environmental and climate change issues in Palestine and emphasized the importance of supporting and engaging young people, particularly through youth-led projects and initiatives aimed at protecting the Palestinian environment and addressing climate challenges.
PNMD’s participation reflects its commitment to strengthening cooperation and partnerships in the fields of environmental and climate media, as well as developing and implementing specialized media projects and initiatives targeting Palestinian youth, particularly young journalists. These efforts aim to enhance their capacities in environmental journalism and climate reporting and strengthen the role of media in raising awareness of environmental and climate issues in Palestine.
The Organization emphasizes the importance of utilizing digital media tools and modern content creation to support environmental and climate issues and empower young people to produce professional and impactful media content that contributes to raising public awareness and promoting participation in environmental protection and addressing the impacts of climate change.
